Music

Music flowing through the ears,
Eyes filling with forbidden tears.
Around and around it will travel,
Some memories begin to unravel.
Feelings and emotions start to burst,
Yet to come is the absolute worst.
For when the song comes to a halt,
There will soon be a terrible fault.

  2. KC, where do I begin? When I first read this I was impressed. But as I read it over and over again I grew to like it more. You are great with words and bringing out the hidden depth of simple words put together. As I read this I can completely relate. When you hear a song and the words bring back painful memories for just a moment, this is exactly what I feel when I read this. Great Job Kace... :)

  3. I really enjoyed reading this poem. I like the way you strung your words together; they flowed very nicely. Also, you found the perfect words to rhyme, without sounding fake. There is nothing I would change about it. Nice work!

  7. Amanda,
No, I didn't actually think of this in band, but I was thinking of band and our music when I wrote it.

  8. This was a really good poem! Although it was short, the meaning behind it was great! I thought it flowed really nicely and that it doesn't need anything added to it. Great job!

  9. I agree with Leah even though the poem was short it had more meaning than some poems that ramble on and on. The rhyming was awesome it sounded great without being too rhymy(if that's a word) I was wondering what your favorite song is, or the song that inspired you to write this? The poem was awesome!!!:)
